Tax Associate Attorney

Our client, an Am Law 100 law firm, is seeking an experienced associate to join its U.S. Tax practice. This is a hybrid position, and ideal candidates will be based in the firm’s New York office (or potentially Washington, DC).

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of robust experience focused on all aspects of transactional tax practice (preferably in a major law firm or a national office of an accounting firm)
• Experience drafting and negotiating tax provisions of mergers and acquisition agreements, partnership agreements and other transactional documents
• Experience advising clients on the tax transactions involving a wide variety of asset classes and financing structures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
• Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively
• JD from an accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
• Admitted to the New York or Washington, D.C. Bar (and in good standing)
