Job Description
Patent Agent - Life Sciences
Our client is a large Am law firm, seeking a Patent Agent or a Science Advisor to join its Chemical/Pharmaceutical/Biotech Intellectual Property team in any of the firm's nationwide offices, with a preference for Raleigh or Boston. The firm may also be open to fully remote candidates.
Qualifications
Experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications relating to small molecule drugs or biologics, in any one of the following or related areas:
- Gene editing technologies
- Antibodies
- Peptide synthesis
- Formulation
- Drug Manufacturing
- Protein Degraders
- Small molecule drugs
- Medicinal chemistry
- Immunology
The firm is seeking candidates who are team-oriented with strong client-interfacing skills. An advanced degree [PhD preferred[ in Chemistry or Biology [and related disciplines] is required.
All candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

firms, and corporations. Prior to recruiting, Kate worked as a legal assistant for several law
firms, including Pennie & Edmonds, a former intellectual property firm in New York City. She
earned a B.S. in Human Resource Management.
