Landlord-Tenant Litigation Associate Attorney (5+ Years) – New York, NY
Our client, a Nassau County–based law firm, is seeking an experienced Landlord-Tenant Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team. This role is ideal for an attorney with extensive NYC Housing Court experience who is ready to handle a substantial caseload and play a key role in client representation.
Responsibilities:
- Represent landlords, property managers, and owners in all aspects of landlord-tenant litigation.
- Manage cases in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island Housing Courts.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
- Appear in court for conferences, hearings, and trials.
- Advise clients on rent regulation, lease disputes, tenant defaults, evictions, and real estate litigation.
- Collaborate with partners and clients to develop strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to the New York Bar, in good standing.
- 5+ years of landlord-tenant litigation experience, with proven Housing Court expertise.
- Strong trial, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
- Excellent legal writing, research, and case management abilities.
- Ability to manage a heavy caseload and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $140,000 – $175,000 (commensurate with experience).
