Job Description
Commercial Litigator - New York
Our client, a mid-sized full-service law firm, is seeking a commercial litigator with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join their practice in New York City.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience
- Strong background in law with expertise in New York practice and commercial litigation
- Experience managing litigation cases, drafting motions and pleadings, resolving and settling legal disputes on behalf of clients, and advocating for clients in court
- Detailed knowledge of CPLR
- Labor and Employment experience is a plus
- Experience in providing legal advice and conducting research
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide effective solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership and good standing with the New York State Bar
- New Jersey admission a plus
