Job Description
Labor & Employment Associate – New York
Our client, a premier AmLaw 100 law firm, is seeking a mid-level Labor & Employment Associate to join its New York office. This is an excellent opportunity for a management-side employment litigator to work on a sophisticated and varied caseload in a highly regarded practice group.
The estimated salary range for this position is $260,000 – $390,000 (annually) and may vary depending on experience and other factors.
Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- 3-6 years of management-side law firm experience in employment litigation
- Experience in single-plaintiff actions involving discrimination, harassment, restrictive covenants/trade secret misappropriation, and whistleblowing
- Experience in employment class actions and wage-and-hour collective actions
- Experience conducting internal investigations, responding to demand letters, and drafting position statements
- Experience handling discovery, including eDiscovery; researching and drafting motions and briefs
- Experience preparing for and taking/defending depositions and working with expert witnesses
- Experience advising on workplace law issues including wage and hour, ADA accommodations, employment and separation agreements, reductions-in-force, and employment-related policies
- Strong academic credentials required
