Asset Finance Associate – Global Law Firm (New York, NY)
Our client, a top-tier international law firm, is seeking a junior-level Asset Finance Associate to join its dynamic New York team. This is a rare opportunity to work on sophisticated cross-border financings alongside some of the most highly regarded practitioners in the market.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in asset or equipment finance, with aircraft finance exposure preferred. The practice advises global financial institutions, investors, and operating companies on innovative structured finance and leasing transactions involving aircraft, vessels, and other transport-related assets.
What You’ll Do
- Draft and negotiate credit facilities, syndicated loan agreements, equipment leases, security documentation, and purchase/sale agreements.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in complementary practices such as M&A, capital markets, and restructuring.
- Manage complex deal execution from term sheet through closing, ensuring regulatory and commercial compliance.
- Stay at the forefront of market trends and evolving finance structures.
What We’re Looking For
- JD from a top U.S. law school (or LLM equivalent) and admission to the New York Bar.
- Strong academic credentials and a clear interest in cross-border transactional work.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, entrepreneurial approach.
Compensation
Base salary range: $235,000 – $260,000, commensurate with experience.
