Job Description
Houston - Employment Litigation Associate
Our client, a leading national employment and labor law firm, seeks to hire a Senior Associate with Employment Litigation experience for their Houston office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 5 or more years of employment litigation experience looking to take on important client-facing work right away and grow a practice under the mentorship of talented partners. This position offers a hybrid work environment.
Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Admission to the Texas Bar required
- JD from an ABA accredited law school
- 5+ years of employment litigation experience
- Trial and arbitration experience required
- Ability to handle cases independently
- Experience drafting and responding to pleadings
- Experience managing discovery
- Experience drafting and arguing motions
- Experience taking and defending depositions
- Experience participating in mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Excellent academic credentials
- Strong writing and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team
