Mid-Level Associate – Mergers & Acquisitions / Private Equity
Location: New York, NY
Our client, a leading Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a mid-level associate with strong private equity and M&A experience to join its dynamic New York practice group.
In this role, you will represent private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on a wide range of complex transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, restructurings, and other strategic investments. You will work closely with senior partners and clients on every stage of the deal lifecycle—from structuring and due diligence to negotiation and closing.
Qualifications:
- 3–6 years of experience in M&A and/or private equity transactions at a sophisticated law firm
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Strong business judgment and familiarity with market trends
- Experience drafting and negotiating purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements, and other ancillary documents
- Outstanding academic credentials and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
Compensation:
- Base salary range of $310,000 – $390,000, commensurate with experience and other factors.
