Job Description
Investment Funds Associate or Practice Attorney - New York or Boston
Our client is a global firm, seeking an associates [partner track] or practice attorneys [non-partner track] for their Investment Funds - Secondaries practice in New York. The salary for an associate is $235+; the salary for a practice attorney is between $150k to $250k [and may vary depending upon level of experience].
Qualifications:
- Experience working in an investment funds practice with private, hedge or secondaries funds experience.
- Funds experience in sponsor-side, LP-side, or in the secondaries market.
- M&A/LBO experience is preferred.
- Excellent project management skills to guide and close large, complex deals.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; strong client-interfacing skills.
- Strong ability to work well within a tight-knit team.
- New York bar, or ability to become admitted.
Additional Information:
Collaborative team working with the largest and most complex secondary transactions in the US, Europe or Asia, on LP portfolio sales or purchases to GP led restructurings, continuation funds and spin outs. The position involves structuring, execution, financing and syndication (via fundraising from international institutional investors).
