Civil Defense Litigation Associate
Our client, a national, mid-sized civil litigation defense firm, is looking for a Litigation Associate to join its Governmental Entity Team/ Police Team. This specialized team is recognized for representing public entities in various cases, including claims involving hazardous conditions, educational law, and matters related to law enforcement officer liability.
Location: Los Angeles, Costa Mesa, or San Diego. Remote is an option, but candidate must be barred in California.
The salary range is $115,000 - $180,000, plus bonus, and a generous benefits package. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors.
Requirements
- 2 years of civil litigation experience
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active membership in the California State Bar and in good standing.
- Prior Law Enforcement and/or Military experience is a plus, but not necessary.
- Criminal defense experience is welcome, but not necessary.
- Exceptional communication and advocacy skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage and meet deadlines.
