Job Description

Counsel - Technology Transactions & Outsourcing/Commercial Contracts - Charlotte

Our client is a major Am law firm, seeking a technology and commercial contracts associate for its Corporate Practice in Charlotte. This position involves working with leading technology, financial services, telecommunications, healthcare and life sciences clients. The firm is considering candidates with either law firm or in-house experience.

 

Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of experience in technology-related commercial transactions.
  • Experience negotiating and drafting a range of complex agreements, including BPOs, SaaS, global purchase, IP licensing, distribution, professional services, and marketing agreements.
  • Experience advising clients on AI issues, and privacy and information security.
  • Experience supporting M&A and Private Equity transactions teams.
  • Familiarity with in-house contract management function is a plus.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent communication skills [writing, verbal and interpersonal]; team focused.
  • North Carolina bar admission or ability to become admitted.
