Job Description

Patent Agent or Science Advisor - Chemistry

Our client is an Am law 100 firm, seeking a Patent Agent or Science Advisor for its Intellectual Property Transactions practice in New York, Boston, San Francisco, or Redwood City offices. The salary for this role is between $155k to $175k.

 

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of patent drafting and prosecution of U.S. and international life science patent applications.
  • Experience conducting prior art searches, assessing technologies for patentability and infringement, providing support for IP due diligence on M&A, and managing patent portfolios while guidance of senior advisors.
  • Strong academic credentials with excellent technical writing and communication skills.
  • Advanced degree in Chemistry [Ph.D. or M.S.] or equivalent chemistry degree is preferred.
  • Ability to become admitted to the USPTO is required.
  • Law school tuition is available.
