Oil & Gas Transactional Associate Attorney - Houston
Our client, an Am Law 100 law firm, is seeking an attorney with at least four years of experience to join their Oil and Gas practice group. This is a partnership-track associate position based in the firm’s Houston, Texas office.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in one or more of the following: mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, development agreements, operating agreements, and commercial agreements in the traditional energy sectors (including upstream and midstream oil and gas)
- Experience drafting and negotiating gathering, transportation, processing, supply, and offtake agreements and agreements related to carbon capture or other energy transition projects is a plus
- JD from an accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
- Texas bar membership is preferred, and in any event required within one year of joining the firm
