Midlevel Labor Associate - Chicago
Our client, an Am Law 100 law firm, is seeking a midlevel Labor Associate with 4–6 years of experience to join their dynamic and nationally recognized Labor Group. Please note that this role is all about labor law (not employment law). This is a hybrid opportunity based in the firm’s Chicago, Illinois office.
The estimated salary range for this position is $285,000 - $345,000 (annually) and may vary depending on experience and other factors.
Qualifications:
- 4–6 years of dedicated management-side labor law experience
- First-chair experience in grievance arbitration matters
- Demonstrated ability to manage matters independently and lead proceedings
- Experience practicing before the NLRB, with first-chair hearing experience preferred
- Spanish language skills preferred
- Strong writing skills (writing samples may be requested)
- Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience with the following: Representing clients in grievance arbitration hearings, and unfair labor practice proceedings; Advising clients on union organizing campaigns; Supporting collective bargaining negotiations; Providing management training on the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA); and collaborating with a national team of labor attorneys on complex matters
- JD from an accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
- Admitted to the Illinois State Bar (and in good standing)
