Labor & Employment Associate - Philadelphia
Our client, an Am Law 100 law firm, is seeking an associate with 3 to 5 years of experience in employment related matters to join their Labor & Employment practice group. This position is based in the firm’s Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office.
The estimated salary range for this position is $250,000 - $305,000 (annually) and may vary depending on experience and other factors.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in employment related matters
- Substantive knowledge of labor and employment law, including, but not limited to, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and applicable state laws
- Solid experience with drafting position statements, pleadings, and dispositive motions in employment cases, revising employee handbooks, and drafting/revising employment and separation agreements
- Experience drafting discovery requests and responses, preparing for depositions, and managing the e-discovery process
- Experience responding to unfair labor practice charges and drafting briefs in labor arbitration proceedings is a plus
- Ability to multi-task and manage all deadlines effectively, maintaining a proactive ownership approach to assignments
- Capacity to collaborate with partners and stakeholders to support ongoing and new matters, providing reliable and high-quality legal support
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, thoroughness, and compliance in all legal matters
- JD from an accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
- Admitted to the Pennsylvania State bar (and in good standing)
- Additional admission to the New Jersey bar is preferred
