IP Trademark Associate - New York
Our client is a major international firm, seeking an IP litigation associate with 3-6 years of experience for its Intellectual Property and Technology practice in New York. The salary for this position is between $260k to $420k.
Qualifications:
3-6 years of IP experience with a substantial portion of the below requirements, as well as an interest in developing additional experience in other areas below [with training and mentorship available].
- Trademark, copyright, trade dress, rights of publicity, trade secret, false advertising, and unfair competition federal litigation.
- Drafting pleadings and esponding and arguing motions.
- Preparing expert reports and assisting with discovery
- Assisting with settlement strategies, including mediation and other types of dispute resolution
- Conducting UDRP proceedings and TTAB litigation.
- Trademark clearance, filing strategy, prosecution and enforcement domestically and globally.
- Managing global trademark portfolios.
- Advising clients on copyright issues.
- Conducting advertising copy review, including addressing comparative advertising, unfair competition and NAD/BBB matters.
- Advising clients on rights of privacy and publicity issues.
Strong academic credentials are required, as well as excellent writing and verbal communication skills and a willingness to work within a collaborative team environment.
